United Insurance Holdings Corp. (NASDAQ: UIHC) (UPC Insurance or
the Company), a property and casualty insurance holding company,
announced today that the Company has reached an agreement with
Christopher Griffith to fill the Company’s vacant Chief Information
Officer position. Upon joining the Company in October, Mr. Griffith will
be responsible for directing and leading all aspects of the Company’s
information technology operations.
Mr. Griffith has over 20 years of technology-related experience, with
over 12 in the insurance industry. Most recently, Mr. Griffith served as
the Vice President and Chief Information Officer of Safety National
Casualty Corp (Safety National), a specialty insurance and reinsurance
provider. While at Safety National, Mr. Griffith was responsible for the
data and digital initiatives of the company, as well as oversight and
development of over 200 IT professionals. Previously, Mr. Griffith has
served in various executive-level IT positions across multiple
industries.
Mr. Griffith holds a B.S. in Computer Science from the University of
South Carolina, as well as an Executive MBA from the University of
Missouri-Columbia.
